This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive and remote.
The Senior System Benefits Analyst position manages and configures Epic Tapestry to accurately administer health benefits for contracted health plans, ensuring correct application of covered services, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and risk assignments. Interprets health plan contracts and Division of Financial Responsibility (DOFR) matrixes in collaboration with department leadership to inform configuration decisions. Applies in-depth knowledge of Epic Tapestry to perform short- and long-term planning, analyzing problems and determining solutions to ensure seamless benefits administration. Holds Epic Certifications or Accreditations in Tapestry Essentials, Tapestry Claims Administration, and Benefits Engine for Tapestry, demonstrating expertise in benefits configuration and administration. May guide the work of other staff members, exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, working independently with broad job knowledge and in-depth understanding of the professional field.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSSix (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training. Related experience: working in a managed care operations setting with at least 2 years being in a role that has direct responsibility for benefit configuration and 1 year of working in DOFR configuration.
Knowledge of managed care contracting, contract review, tracking, and maintenance.
Ability to conduct research, data analysis, and draft contract provisions
Knowledge of relevant health system and UC policies and processes. Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Ability to conduct detailed financial analysis.
Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain constructive working relationships.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess problems and present potential solutions.
Detail orientation with strong organizational skills.
Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $77,000 - $139,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $36.88 - $66.67
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
