STAFF SPECIALIST HEALTHCARE (Adult Medical Services)

Job Description

Job Summary

To provide highly responsible complex administrative and operational support to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) in association with the Adult Hospitals Medical Sub-Segment Triad. This individual will be responsible for a wide variety of activities to enable greater effectiveness of the ACNO and to contribute to the accomplishment of the Department, Adult Medical Services and Organization?s mission.

This individual will contribute to all aspects of the ACNO work and leadership within the Department, with a focus on responsibility for representing nursing on clinical operations issues within the UH-Adult Medical Services. This also includes analyzing and assisting with communications, coordinating all aspects of strategic planning, coordination of leadership meetings, forums and schedules, helping to prioritize daily issues, coordinating and delegating agenda scheduling, and leading or assisting selected change initiatives and projects as assigned. The individual must have the skill set and experience to enable them to operate with wide discretion and independent judgment. Primary activities and decision-making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position meet the criteria for exempt status.

Background Screening
