Position Summary
Manages the operations of School of Trades, Technology, Sustainability and Professional Studies, and the School of Business and Education of the Santa Fe Community College. Must be committed to serving a diverse college community. Actively participates in and contributes to Continuous Quality Improvement ( CQI).

This position will be required to Work onsite in Santa Fe, NM.
 
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Engages internal and external stakeholders to meet overall institutional goals and objectives.
  • Supervises and evaluates full-time faculty, including department chairs; adjunct faculty; and staff; and manages student-related issues.
  • Coordinates the development and review of curriculum and assessment plans.
  • Oversees the development of the annual schedule of course offerings in the school.
  • Manages a budget and reviews all requests/activities that affect the budget.
  • Coordinates with other academic schools to meet institutional and instructional goals and objectives.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.

  • Skill in the preparation of a variety of reports.
  • Skill in the preparation of course schedules.
  • Ability to apply sustainability concepts into work systems.
  • Ability to apply Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
  • Ability to resolve faculty, staff and student disputes.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree
  • Eight (8) years administrative and/or teaching experience, which includes curriculum development and faculty supervision in a community or undergraduate college.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in a related academic discipline.
  • Experience working with community organizations and securing and managing grants.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
 
Physical Demands
  • The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light objects.
  • The work is typically performed in an office.
 
Work Hours
  • Typically 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. May be required to work afterhours and/or weekends.
