The Director of Institutional Research will be based at the Odessa main campus and will be responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, and dissemination of institutional data to support planning and decision-making processes. This role involves significant collaboration with various departments to enhance student learning and institutional effectiveness.

Specific Position Duties
- Lead the college’s efforts to capture the student experience and translating complex data into compelling narratives that clearly convey the Odessa College story, achievements, and areas for growth.
- Foster a culture of innovation by challenging the status quo and encouraging creative approaches to problem-solving and data utilization.
- Identify and prioritize areas for institutional improvement based on data-driven insights, collaborating with departments to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
- Collaborates on the development of priorities and benchmarks that link planning with institutional/program improvement and monitors progress.
- Promote broad-based involvement in data initiatives, ensuring that diverse perspectives are considered and valued.
- Prepare and present reports, briefs, and visualizations that effectively communicate data insights to senior leadership, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Designs and conducts studies and surveys to collect data on student outcomes, program effectiveness, and institutional performance.
- Provides training and support to faculty and staff on data analysis and interpretation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with experience in higher education.
- Coursework or knowledge of research methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Professional experience in project management
- Proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships across the institution.
Work Hours
Typical Hours Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:30, Friday 8:00-1:00 Summer Hours Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:30 Hours may vary depending on business need. Some evening and weekend work may be required.Posting Number
