General Statement
Adjunct Faculty will teach course(s) within a specific discipline to a diverse student population at our Downtown Worcester campus or specified Off Campus Laboratory Site (OCLS).
- Responsibilities will include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to student providing didactic and or laboratory/clinical instruction.
- Individuals must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and can build successful relationships with students and faculty.
- Utilize available technologies to provide a variety of innovative approaches to instructional design and content delivery, maximizing student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Other duties are assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in respiratory care with a minimum of five years of experience or equivalent in Respiratory Care completed in a full-service healthcare setting, or a Baccalaureate degree with appropriate education courses with a minimum of three years of experience or equivalent in Respiratory Care completed in a full-service healthcare setting.
- Possess and maintains the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Possess a minimum of three years of experience or equivalent in Respiratory Care experience completed in a full-service healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher.
- Experienced in teaching, preferably in a community or technical college setting.
- Possess advanced Respiratory credentials (i.e., RPFT, ACCS, NPS, SDS) from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Demonstrates a commitment to promoting diversity in the curriculum as appropriate.
- Member of the AARC.
