The Director of Plant Services is the administrative official responsible for overseeing all facilities management operations, including maintenance, custodial services, grounds keeping, and safety compliance. This leadership role ensures that campus facilities are safe, functional, and conducive to a positive educational environment. The Director works extensively with all college departments in planning renovations and maintenance Responsibility of working with the president, administration, instructors, and staff in developing organizing, and implementing maintenance programs, renovation, and new construction projects. Responsible for the maintenance of Plant Service vehicles and equipment and recommend the purchase and disposal of vehicles or equipment.
Coordinator of, and will work with college staff in programming, and facilitating compliance with fire, health, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations. Member of the College Council and will participate in the discussion and recommendations of policies for the operation of the community college district: will be responsible for the successful implementations of policy as it directly or indirectly affects his area of authority and responsibility. Coordinator of Custodial & Grounds. Responsible for the successful operation of the custodial, grounds, and maintenance departments of the college to ensure a clean and well-maintained campus.
Responsible for maintenance operations at the Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg. Manage the disposal of campus surplus property including record keeping and reporting. Manage the Workamper program including recruiting, vetting, scheduling and evaluating personnel. Maintain deferred maintenance project records and schedule, including life cycle cost Prepare and provide monthly reports including fuel usage, sewer system usage and utility trends Maintain inventory of mission critical emergency supplies Assist with the review of plans and specifications in the addition, modification and renovation of new and existing facilities Approve requisitions for purchase of materials, supplies and contractor services.
Assure college-wide compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws, ordinances and codes relating to the operation and safety of facilities and staff; assures mandated inspections and repairs of fire safety/suppression systems and other such systems are completed as required Responsible for campus wide energy management and managing HVAC Automated Control System. Residency RequirementsCandidates must reside within a reasonable distance of the Colleges main campus to facilitate a rapid response to campus needs and emergencies. The Director is subject to be on-call twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week to address any plant service or college related emergency. Additional Essential Position FunctionsMay exceed 40 hours per week on a consistent basis, including evenings and weekendsVisible and available on campus during the standard 40 hour work weekAvailable as necessary via phone, email, and text including evenings and weekends
