Position description

The Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences (http://radonc.ucsd.edu) within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientists to join the Sharabi Lab.

The Project Scientists will make significant and creative contributions to a research or creative project in their academic discipline. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigators, the Project Scientists will function independently, and the role includes:
1) designing, managing, and conducting experiments;
2) training and teaching students and others in the field of study;
3) leading and making innovative and significant contributions to the project(s);
4) participating and presenting at scientific meetings;
5) writing scientific reports, manuscripts, and grants for submission and/or publication.

Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have a PhD or doctoral degree in Immunology or health-related fields.

Candidates must have at minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in immunology, flow cytometry, and mouse tumor modeling.

Preferred qualifications

Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience, mentorship, and a minimum of 6 years of research training service are preferred.
