Coordinator, Transfer Services

Job Description

Job Summary

Assist students with the transfer process to 4-year educational institutions by providing leadership and coordination of transfer fairs, university campus visits to HCC sites and related programming, off-site visits to senior institutions. Maintain relationships with assigned Articulation Agreement Affiliated partner institutions to facilitate communication of curriculum updates and changes to admissions/transfer process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Engage students enrolled in Articulation Agreement Affiliated programs at HCC about the transfer process at partner institutions.

Provide updated information on transfer pathways and strategies, including transferability of credit and assist with completion of college applications.

Organize and conduct quarterly transfer fairs, host university recruiter information sessions and interviews, promote university campus tours, and facilitate other transfer services programming in partnership with Transfer Services Specialists.

Partner with Career & Job Placement Services, Pathways Advising, P-16, Instructional Services to host Career & Transfer Fairs and other industry-driven events designed to promote specific and nuances career and transfer outcomes.

Coordinate and implement Transfer Services Workshops Series in partnership with University partners.

Maintain contact with university partner admissions and transfer advisors to learn of curriculum/course sequencing changes as well as specific articulation agreement guidelines/standards.

Collaborate with HCC Pathway Advising Teams to ensure ease of appointment scheduling and promoting Transfer Services initiatives.

Utilize existing technology (PeopleSoft, CareerHub, Who's Next, and other resources) to document, track, and report interactions of HCC students with university representatives.

Assess and promptly respond to the needs and concerns of students, interested in transferring, through various communication mediums.

Provide monthly reports on transfer services activities and results to Transfer Services leadership.

Assist students with transfer planning to universities to include, joint admissions programs, articulation agreements, common course numbering, and transfer plans.

Collaborate with various departments to assist students in completing graduation checklist items and other transfer related matters.

Track and document graduate cohort transfer outcomes to assigned articulation agreement partner institutions.

Establish and maintain a thorough knowledge of all programs at assigned articulation agreement partner institutions, including but not limited to the academic, workforce, adult education, and non-credit programs.

Support Office of Alumni Affairs initiatives by collaborating on related events and contributing to data-driven projects.

Performs other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

         Bachelor’s degree required.

         3 years directly related experience required

        Experience working in a higher education environment preferred

         Experience with a CRM product, PeopleSoft, Banner, Simplicity and/or other student information systems/career services software preferred          

Licensing & Certification

         Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions

General Office.  Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner.  Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements.  May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
