Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland invites applications for at least one tenure track faculty positions in microelectronics, with particular emphasis on the core areas of semiconductor microelectronics, integrated circuits (IC), sensors, wide bandgap devices, power electronics and power systems, radio frequency integrated systems, microelectronics manufacturing, motor drives and ultra-high speed electric machines, smart grid, and energy sustainability.
The tenure-track appointments are expected to be at the Assistant Professor level, although more senior candidates with outstanding records of research achievements may be considered. Successful applicants will be expected to advance the field by developing an active, innovative research program, and to mentor and educate undergraduate and graduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
