Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to guide our Health and Nutrition Program, a critical initiative aimed at addressing root causes of food insecurity specific to health disparities and program oversight of many new and existing food assistance programs. The Program Manager III is accountable for planning, implementing and overseeing various programs within the organization, ensuring effective coordination, compliance, outreach and program success.
A Day in the Life
Program Management:

Oversee Food for Health programs, projects and initiatives.

Lead the Nutrition Policy Committee and ensure the committee is meeting its goals.

Facilitate collaboration between Food for Health partners and pantry network for better health outcomes.

Conduct outreach to identify new Food for Health partners.

Review Food for Health program materials, agreements, training and ensure standards are met.

Work on Food for Health strategic planning and ensure success of program implementation.

Monitor program activities, assess program performance and ensure accurate program reports.

Assist in Food for Health grant applications, expense tracking and reporting.
Compliance and Standards:

Ensure all rules and regulations are followed.

Create and use procedures to keep the program in compliance.

Maintain federal compliance standards and an excellent relationship with the state.
Community Engagement and Partnership:

Work with Dietetic and Public Health university programs to cultivate solutions.

Generate research partnerships, intern opportunities and process improvement.

Build and keep relationships with community health organizations.

Take part in forums, meetings and groups that talk about health problems linked to food insecurity.
Program Development and Data Management:

Help apply for grants for Food for Health.

Be a good steward of funding.

Research on how food insecurity and health are linked.

Improve current programs to focus more on health.

Track and report on Food for Health data.

Find trends and make conclusions based on evidence.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Oversees 1-3 staff including interns.

Guide, shape, and inspire divisional vision, employee engagement and effective participation in organizational planning and coordination.

Work with staff to establish annual program work plans, including goals, priorities, activities and performance metrics to achieve organization targets.

Supervise, develop, motivate and evaluate staff.

Partner with other Regional Food Bank departments to implement organizational priorities.

Participate with executive leadership team in organizational development and strategic planning activities. Ensure that established goals are met or exceeded.

Empower and train staff to work effectively and respectfully with the partner network.
Required Qualifications
How you have spent your time:

Obtaining a bachelors degree and working for at least four years in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Microsoft Office Suite

Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
How you have spent your time:

Obtaining a masters degree in or working for at least five years in a relevant field.

Working in community health or nutrition.
Your Environment
Environmentally controlled with no exposure to extreme changes in the weather and limited exposure to humidity/moisture relative to atmospheric condition variations. No exposure to dust, chemicals, gases, fumes, smoke, excessive noise and/or vibrations. Work generally performed in an office environment. Travel may be required for assignments, meetings and training. Weekend and/or holiday hours may be required.
Physical Demands
The company will provide reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities. Utilize multi-limb coordination and flexibility combined with control precision to perform fine motor skills including finger manipulation, grasping, feeling, arm-hand steadiness, in order to push, pull or lift objects. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Utilizes multi-limb coordination to balance on even surfaces, stoop, kneel, stand and walk, reach over shoulders or below the knees. Must employ the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the companys Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
