Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Staff Clinical Social Worker/Counselor is a permanent, full-time appointment in the Counseling Service division of the University of Maryland’s Counseling Center. The Staff Clinical Social Worker/Counselor functions as a part of the initial access team and is responsible for the provision of initial access treatment modalities to students at UMD. The Staff Clinical Social Worker/Counselor reports to the Associate Director of the Counseling Center.

- Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a related field. Degree must be from an accredited academic program.

- Experience working with college students and general knowledge of collegiate mental health as a field.
- Experience working in a mental health setting with diverse populations.
- Experience providing emergency services
Additional Certifications:
Certifications:
- Must be licensed or license eligible (should be able to transfer their existing license to MD) at a clinical level (LCSW/ LCPC) in the State of Maryland within 6 months of hire.
