JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist supports client programs and human resource projects to meet the needs of managers and staff and in support of company's strategic objectives. Highly knowledgeable regarding California and federal employment and labor laws and regulations with the ability to effectively communicate this information to management. Provides guidance on human-resource related issues and change management. Partners with management and internal customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes, and leverage the return on HRIS capabilities.
Pay: $32.21/ HR
Office Schedule: Hybrid (Monday & Wednesday Office Days) T/TH/FR - Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Administers leaves of absence; effectively communicates with employees and managers, administers applicable state and federal laws and regulations, paperwork, tracks leave, and documents all pertinent information.
- Manages employee benefits administration tasks and works with HR Manager for open enrollment activity.
- Administers changes and updates in HRIS (ADP Workforce Now.)
- Provides performance management assistance related to leaves of absence.
- Develops project specifications and objectives from initiation to delivery for projects of moderate complexity.
- Researches, analyzes data, and prepares reports as required on HR trends, applicable laws and regulations, new HR project suggestions, and current program goals and progress.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Manages project/process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assists Hiring Managers in determining options for employee job accommodations.
- Coordinate trainings on various HR programs and issues; assisting HR Manager
- Assists as necessary in HR related duties and projects. Fills in for absent HR team members.
- Complies with all MHS and program rules, policies and procedures including HIPPA standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, HR certification preferred.
- 5 years Human Resources Generalist experience with benefits and leaves of absence (experience in non-profit or healthcare environment preferred).
- 3 years of experience working with HRIS (ADP Workforce Now.)
- Experienced in Project Management.
- Ability to develop professionally and influence managers.
- Highly knowledgeable of employment and labor laws and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communications skills, with the ability to inform, coach and persuade, in writing and verbally.
- Strong training and presentation skills.
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment and lead projects.
