Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is looking for a Regional Coordinator, Patient Engagement to work under the direction of the Senior Associate Director of Patient Engagement, responsible for supervision and coordination of community engagement activities and projects that focus on populations and services of FHCSD. Supervise Patient Engagement Specialists, Eligibility Specialists, and Special Services Patient Engagement Specialists. Oversee teams working on identified special projects that will help increase patient visits and meet departmental goals. Work with department leadership to develop, implement, and track organization-wide health initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee creative community and patient engagement strategies that meet organization and department goals.
- Build positive relationships, inspire others to perform at a high level, prepare career development plans and retain an accountable workforce.
- Supervise assigned staff to include hiring, coaching and counseling, providing performance management, training, scheduling and corrective discipline (including termination) as needed.
- Conduct regular staff training to ensure objectives, expectations and standards are being met.
- Work with FHCSD departments to develop strategies to increase utilization of specific services.
- Function as a liaison with Clinic Directors and ensure proper communication related to patient engagement activities and events.
- Create calendars and protocols for Patient Engagement events to include events related to the National Health Observances to increase patient utilization of certain services.
- Develop tools for data gathering on service initiatives, and create systems to report out on their effectiveness and make educated decisions.
- Ensure staff meets established deadlines and goals related to patient metrics.
- Confirm quality and timely completion of community engagement logs and patient and community engagement metrics.
- Create and present detailed reports to senior staff on community/patient engagement activities and outreach metric goals.
- Ensure staff receives all new hire and annual training on time.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and ensure appropriate LEAN tools (I.e., 5S, A3) are deployed and results are evaluated and/or measured.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Social Work, Education or closely related field required.
- 2 years of demonstrated supervisory or lead experience required.
- 4 years of progressively responsible experience in patient engagement and/or community-based healthcare preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including some weeknights and weekends.
- Bilingual English/Spanish may be required depending on on-site/location.

64,480.00 - 85,973.33If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
