The Executive Director of Talent Acquisition will play a key role in managing Rowan-Cabarrus efforts to recruit a diverse and qualified workforce. In conjunction with the CHRO this position manages the entire recruitment process, from identifying top talent to ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding of employees. Additionally, the role involves using data analysis to evaluate and enhance the college’s retention strategies.
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field and five (5) years of experience in Human Resources with two (2) years of experience in specific HR function; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
- Master’s degree in business administration, human resources management, public administration, organizational development, or industrial psychology.
- Certifications – Process improvement, agile or lean process management.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity of applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Knowledge of process management/process improvement practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently, within a team, and with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office Suites. ERP experience with Banner or Colleague. Familiarity with using any ATS or NEO ED.

Ensures that managers at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College receive a minimum of six training sessions per year educating them on the hiring process, including federal and state employment laws relevant to recruiting.

Manage rewards and recognition processes for college, including Outstanding Employee, Service Awards, and Retirement Recognitions.
