Coordinator of Concurrent Enrollment Student Success

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY      
The Coordinator of Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Student Success plays a vital role in supporting high school students in their transition to college by identifying and addressing academic and personal barriers to student success. This role involves working closely with students to develop effective strategies for overcoming challenges, fostering academic achievement, and providing regular updates on student progress to high school counselors. The coordinator collaborates with various departments within the Community College of Aurora and partners closely with district and high school teams to ensure seamless CE program implementation.
Key responsibilities include assisting the Director of Concurrent Enrollment with student registration during peak enrollment periods, promoting CE opportunities to students and school communities, and performing data management tasks to maintain accurate records. The coordinator is also a core member of the CE team, actively contributing to initiatives aimed at increasing CE matriculation and ensuring students have a successful and supported pathway from high school to college.

OVERVIEW OF CCA 
 The Community College of Aurora serves our diverse community by providing high-quality instruction and support services to prepare students for transfer and employment. More than 20 different languages and 60 countries are represented at CCA. In addition to traditional degree and certificate programs, CCA offers non-credit professional development courses, customized training, and economic and workforce development resources to employer partners and individual professionals seeking to enhance the capacity and productivity of their workforce or individual knowledge and skills. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the CE team in maintaining positive school district relationships by providing effective, friendly customer service to high school students, parents, and partners served by the CE program
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with high school counselors, K-12 partners, and Local Education Providers (LEP) to ensure a smooth and effective partnership and provide ongoing training to school partners regarding processes
  • Coordinate advising meetings with CE, ASCENT, and TREP students for on campus registration and to monitor progress, academic success, and provide support and resources
  • Attend high school and middle school concurrent enrollment information meetings and application days, as assigned
  • Manage data on concurrent enrollment students including degree progress, and grades
  • Schedule advising and coaching meetings with concurrent enrollment students throughout the semester to monitor progress, academic success and support needs
  • Collaborate with Division of Enrollment Management on processes for CE students attending courses at CCA
  • Regularly monitor the CE general email account, and respond to questions and    issues from constituents in a timely manner.
  • Assist in coordination of on-campus recruitment and matriculation events.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with advising and student success initiatives in educational settings
  • Demonstrated understanding of educational and/or other professional complex processes
  • Successful administrative, event planning, and/or project management experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft platform such as outlook and excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Banner, Navigate and/or other higher education database software
  • Experience working in a college or high school setting
  • Experience teaching in either secondary or post-secondary institutions
  • Demonstrated ability in working with diverse student populations

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Salary Range: Anticipated starting salary range: $55,453.00 annually. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent benefit plan, including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
