Director of Development

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

Oversee development team at City Mission. Lead planning for agency fundraising including locating sources, developing project budgets and preparing grant proposals to foundations, corporations, state and federal funding sources.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.

Position requires excellent demonstrated written and communication skills as well as knowledge of computers-preferably Windows software.

Essential Job-Related Experience:

At least 3 years of proven successful fund-raising/grant-writing experience, with federal, corporate state, and private sources for a non-profit agency, including some basic knowledge of general bookkeeping budgeting, and/or accounting procedures.

Preferred Job-Related Experience:

1 year of grantwriting/fundraising experience in the development of affordable housing.
