We are looking for a mission driven Human Resources to join our team!

 


This is a full-time position located on our main campus (30th & L). The schedule will be 40 hours per week; generally, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm.

 


GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Human Resource Manager will plan, direct, coordinate and, oversee daily operations of various Human Resources functions; including, benefits, talent, training and development, compliance, compensation, and other general Human Resources tasks. This will include the evaluation of human resources staff, processes, and plans and programs of the organization. The Human Resource Manager consults with Director of Human Resources on strategic planning initiatives and serves as a link between the organization’s management and our employees.
 

This position oversees our employee benefits package, ensuring that our benefits program attracts a diverse workforce and is comprehensive to meet our current workforces’ needs and is responsible for the administration of all benefits and retirement programs including, medical, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability, and 401k.
 

This position is responsible for the various leave types and the accommodation process, as well as assisting to implement companywide wellness initiatives All duties performed in compliance with OSHA, FLSA, DOL, ACA, and other federal and state applicable regulations, laws, and policies.

 


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field required.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and/or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in management required.
  • Proficiency and experience with benefits management, including open enrollment, working with benefits brokers, ACA, ADA and leave laws required.
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required; experience with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) required.
  • Proficiency in English required; proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentational) required.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with a focus on internal customer service and leadership.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in human resource laws, federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, and best practices; in particular regulations related to employee benefits programs such as ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Workers’ Compensation, Medicare, DOL, and Social Security.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to function well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
