- Instructs, advises, guides and assists students to achieve job skills and social skills necessary to become employed as a bartender
- Maintains accurate records of student attendance and performance
- Develops and drafts materials necessary for instruction with the direction and approval of the Program Coordinator
- Requires flexible working hours; day, evening and possibly weekends
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Must have your NC ABC Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Certification or able to pass the test.
Minimum of 3 years bartending experience.
Preferred:
Experience in training or instructing.
Bar Management skills.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possess solid practical cocktail knowledge
- Comfortable teaching large groups of students
- Ability to communicate well and instruct with expertise a diverse population
- Ability to monitor, motivate and prepare students for entry into the work force upon successful completion of course
- Ability to develop vocational education curriculum; accurately keep records and submit required documentation
- The applicant should also possess a strong working knowledge of bartending to include NC ABC laws, sanitation, customer service, beer, wine and liquor knowledge, bar tools and techniques and classic cocktails
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Outlook and PowerPoint
