• Instructs, advises, guides and assists students to achieve job skills and social skills necessary to become employed as a bartender
• Maintains accurate records of student attendance and performance
• Develops and drafts materials necessary for instruction with the direction and approval of the Program Coordinator
• Requires flexible working hours; day, evening and possibly weekends

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Must have your NC ABC Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Certification or able to pass the test.

Minimum of 3 years bartending experience.

Preferred:
Experience in training or instructing.

Bar Management skills.

• Possess solid practical cocktail knowledge
• Comfortable teaching large groups of students
• Ability to communicate well and instruct with expertise a diverse population
• Ability to monitor, motivate and prepare students for entry into the work force upon successful completion of course
• Ability to develop vocational education curriculum; accurately keep records and submit required documentation
• The applicant should also possess a strong working knowledge of bartending to include NC ABC laws, sanitation, customer service, beer, wine and liquor knowledge, bar tools and techniques and classic cocktails
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Outlook and PowerPoint
